Literacy and Numeracy

When the children return after the holiday they will be concentrating on more literacy and numeracy activities in order to help prepare them for school. The children really enjoy these types of activities, what do you think?

All the nursery children have been eating hot cross buns today at snack time. They tasted really yummy and some children even had three!!

Daffodil cards

The nursery children have made some beautiful daffodil cards to take home. It's amazing what you can make with a toilet roll and a bit of coloured paper, glue and paint!!

The morning children dressed up as superheroes to help raise money for red nose day and impressed Mrs Savage when they went into the hall for assembly. Well done to everyone, even the staff dressed up!!

Reading stories in the school hall

It was lovely to see the older children reading stories to the younger children. Even some of the school staff were wearing their dressing gowns!!

World Book Day

The nursery children had a great time celebrating World book day. They came into nursery wearing their nightwear and lot's of teddies came too. Some children went into the school hall and had their books read to them by the older children. It was really lovely to see.

Spring is here!!

The afternoon children took advantage of the lovely spring weather and played outside on the pirate ship.
