Christmas Jumper Day

Today the nursery children have been wearing their Christmas jumpers in aid of Save The Children. The nursery and school combined will make a donation however, we were very impressed with the jumpers!!! Well done children! Every pound we give will be matched by the UK government this Christmas, doubling any donations and making an even bigger difference for children.

Nursery Nativity Performance!

Wow, the nursery children practised their Nativity Sing Song brilliantly this morning. Mrs Brealey said, "It's brought a tear to my eye". Ahhhhhhhhhh

Story of the Week

Children In Need

Well done to all the nursery children for dressing up in order to raise money for Children In Need. Pudsey would be proud! Nursery raised £47.10 The whole school and nursery together have raised an amazing £205.44. Well done!

Story of the week

All the baby penguins are having fun playing in the snow, but Henry doesn't like the cold and dreams of warm seas and sandy shores. Maybe its time for a holiday.......

Armistice Day

The morning nursery children observed a two minute silence at 11.00am. Poppies were made and taken home to show parents/carers.

Halloween Cakes!!

The nursery children have celebrated Halloween by dressing up and by decorating some yummy cakes!

Story of the week

Our story of the week is about a big skeleton, a small skeleton and a dog skeleton. They decide to go for a walk in the middle of the night. Ask your child about the story and they should be able to tell you all about it!!

Fire Drill

The morning children experienced a fire drill today. All the children behaved appropriately and lined up correctly. Well done nursery.

It was lovely as always to see so many parents/carers taking such an interest in their child's learning journey. All the children were very well behaved and even Mrs Pryce, the school's deputy head came down into the hall to see what was going on! Well done everybody.

National Poetry Day

A big thank you to Miss Guildford, for coming into nursery and reading the children a very special poem on National Poetry Day. The poem was called 'Adventure at Breakfast Time' by Irene Yates and was part of many poems out of a book that Miss Guildford received  when she was in nursery herself.  The children were so well behaved and listened attentively, that a biscuit for snack time was on the menu!!!

Story of the week

Our story of the week is called Monkey Puzzle. "I've lost my mum!" "Hush, little monkey, don't you cry, I'll help you find her," said Butterfly. But somehow Butterfly keeps getting it wrong. Will Monkey ever find his mum?

Graduation!!

Well its that time of year again, the nursery children are all graduating as they continue along their learning journey into reception class. We will miss you loads.

Nursery Sports Day

Well done to all the nursery children, for taking part in our annual sports day event. They really did deserve a medal and a lolly-pop!!!!!

                                          There were lot's of animals for the children to look at.

                                             The children could also feed some of the animals.

                                                         Egg collecting was a favourite.
