We have had snow in nursery this week!

Nursery Christmas Party

The children had a wonderful time at our Christmas party. A big 'thank you' to Jungle Madness and all the parents/carers for coming along!

Nursery Nativity

The children were amazing during their Christmas Nativity. Well done boys and girls.

Children In Need making biscuits and dressing up. We raised £33.00, well done nursery.

This week the children have been decorating poppies to commemorate those service men and women who lost their lives in the many wars. We held a one minute silence at 11am on Wednesday and the children carried this out without question. Well done girls and boys.

Parent/Carer Autumn Workshop!

Our parents and carers have visited the school hall today to take part in our annual Workshop. It was lovely to see so many grown-ups taking such an interest in their children. Well done everybody!!!!

Well done to all the nursery children and their grown-ups for such a fantastic sponsored walk around Albert Village Lake. It was really lovely to see so many parents and carers taking such an interest in their children and the nursery. A big 'thank you' to everyone who joined in.

Watering the plants!

The nursery children have been watering the plants. We have been talking about what plants need in order for them to grow. We were very impressed with the children's knowledge!!

The nursery children have been for a walk around the school field today in order to collect some leaves for our Autumn pictures. The grass was a bit wet but the children were really keen to find a leaf and place it in the bag!!

Sponsored walk details

It is our sponsored walk around Albert Village Lake next Wednesday 14th October, to help raise funds for nursery and Reception class. Please ensure you are ready to leave nursery between 9.00 and 9.15am. We will be walking down Occupation road, so traffic safety is essential. Please take care when walking around the lake due to the depth of the water and possible animal faeces. We are looking forward to a lovely walk and hope to see as many parents and carers with their children as possible!!!  Many thanks    AVN

Parents evening

A big thank you to all our parents who came to the parents evening last night. It was really lovely to spend some time with you and to hear about all the little things your children get up to at home! Sponsored walk next on Wednesday 14th October!!!!

Can you work the remote control bugs? We can.........

This week the children have been spreading toast with margarine and eating cereal with a spoon. I wonder what they will be eating for snack next week? Indian and chinese food may be on the menu!!!

Shape printing!

The nursery children have been printing using different sized shapes and plenty of paint!!! Can you see a square, triangle, rectangle or circle?

Welcome back to all our existing children and a big 'hello' to all our new children and their families. All the children are settling in nicely, so lets have a great Autumn term together!!!!

We are in the paper!!

We are in today's Burton Mail (Thursday 23rd July). A big 'thank you to Mr Hughes for all his golfing tips! The children really enjoyed playing this game and the parents also commented on how well the children responded to it!!

Well done to all our boys and girls for graduating from Albert Village Nursery. It has been a pleasure to care for and educate you all. We wish you lots of luck as you continue along your learning journey into Reception class and school.

Dear parents and carers,
Because the weather is so hot at the moment, can you please ensure that your child is wearing sun cream before they come to nursery. We will ensure the children wear their sunhat, drink plenty of water and have lots of shade to play under.      Many thanks  AVN
