Celebration assembly

Well done to Evalyn and Jacob for receiving their 'star of the week' certificates in celebration assembly by Mrs Savage. Jacob has a wondeful sense of humour and Evalyn always produces some wonderful pictures when drawing.

An ipad for nursery!

A very big thank you to all the children and parents that took part in our sponsored walk last October. With the money raised and a lovely donation from Mr and Mrs Brandsom we have now acquired our very own ipad. I know the children are going to have great fun!             Miss Adams

Story of the week

'What friends do best' is all about three friends helping each other to build a rocket! Before the story started Mrs Orme talked to the children about the blurb, spine, Author and Illustrator of the book. Please ask your child about this and see if they can tell you anything.

Mobile Library

Zara and Thomas visited the mobile library today. They were very busy choosing the different books for the nursery children.

Beat baby

Theres a rumble in the jungle and I don't know why, so I stop and I listen and I hear this cry..................
Beat baby has visited nursery today and the children have been tapping out rhymes with her. Well done.

Half Term

We hope you all have a great half term. We return Monday 24th February. Please remember to bring in your completed 'holiday news' and 'WOW' boats. Have fun and keep safe.

Snowing.....

The nursery children were getting really excited today when it snowed heavily for the first time this year!!

Story of the week

My Friend Harry.

James has a special soft toy friend. His name is Harry. He and James go everywhere together, around the farm, on holiday, to bed... Harry always listens and he never complains, even when he gets dirty or is made to stand on his head!! Then, one day James starts school........

One foggy, groggy morning, by the salty, slashy sea. I'm sure I saw a dinosaur and I'm sure that he saw me! But there's more to this story than meets the eye. Can there really be a dinosaur at Sandy Bottom End? Someone's up to something............

Reception class visit nursery to help celebrate Chinese New Year!

It was lovely to see Miss Farley and her Reception children visiting nursery, to help celebrate Chinese New Year. We had lot's of fun, creating masks, playing matching games, watching a Chinese New Year cartoon and creating a horse picture from shapes. This year it is the turn of the horse, so KUNG HEI FAT CHOY to everyone.

Chinese New Year

Nursery and Reception children joined together to celebrate Chinese New Year. There were lot's of different activities to choose from and all the children had great fun going into another class! This is a short film explaining where the idea for Chinese New Year came from.
