Farm animals

The nursery children will soon be visiting a farm for their annual nursery trip. Please take a look at this little clip all about farm animals and see if you can join in with the song.

Outstanding!!

I am very pleased to inform all the children, parents, professionals and extended family members of Albert Village Nursery, that our nursery has been assessed to be "Outstanding" by the Early Years and Childcare Development Workforce. The criteria was met in all 17 areas and a letter explaining all this will be issued to parents shortly. Well done to all the staff and our student helper for all their hard work and dedication.

Celebration Assembly

Well done to Harry, Kieran and Lexi for collecting their 'star of the week' certificates from Mrs Savage during celebration assembly. Harry received his certificate for sitting nicely at carpet time and for waiting patiently. Kieran had his certificate for following verbal instructions really well and Lexi had hers for capturing experiences using her imagination.

The nursery children have been visiting the school hall for lunch again. Mrs Lemm, Reese and Micah are all enjoying a chicken wrap with rice and peas, while Joshua and Dyllan eat their sandwiches. Yummy yummy yummy.......

A visit from a nurse



Miss Martin, a nurse, came to see the children today. Reuben had an injection while Maddison had a plaster on her leg. Miss Martin listened very carefully to Isaacs tummy and she explained all about what she did and where she worked Miss Martin also read the children a story about Topsy and Tim visiting the hospital.

Road Safety Tutor

We had a visit today from Miss Sutton the local Road Safety Tutor. She reads the children a story about a teddy who takes a walk and lets go of his owner!!! The children also took it in turns to dress as a police officer or crossing patrol person. Well done to all the children for learning about how to keep safe when out and about walking.

Celebration Assembly

Well done to Dainton and Miss Adams for collecting their certificates from Mrs Savage during celebration assembly. Dainton received his certificate for not letting his poorly arm stop him from having lots of fun in nursery. Miss Adams has successfully completed the foundation degree in early childhood studies. All the nursery children sat really well and Mrs Savage commented on their lovely dancing!

Fire Drill

The morning children experienced a fire drill thismorning. All children and staff were present and correct. Well done everybody. The children behaved appropriately and lined up sensibly.

Celebration Assembly

Well done to Reese and Savannah for attending celebration assembly and receiving your certficates from Mrs Savage. Reese had a certificate because he always plays well with his peers. Savannah had hers for being able to write her name independently, starting at the correct place and forming the letters properly.

Kenzo and Ashbo the corn snakes visit nursery


The children had a great time looking at the snakes. Most of the children stroked the snakes and we learned alot about what they eat and where they live.
